The three crossed swords ("Tre Spade") first appeared in 1894 as a motif on an Italian coffee grinder, born at the same time as the Italian coffee culture. Tre Spade's specialties are products related to meat processing, such as meat grinders, sausage fillers and meat mixers, but tomato passers are also increasingly popular. These products have been manufactured for decades to the great satisfaction of customers, never succumbing to the pressure of lowering the price of the products with cheap but low quality components.
