Festive cake: Easter chocolate gateau recipe

Easter is coming soon, and what could not be a more perfect time to prepare a mouth-watering chocolate gateau, which not only gives special pleasure to those with a sweet tooth, but also enhances the Easter atmosphere on the table. Allow us to introduce you to this divine recipe that is guaranteed to win everyone's heart!

Ingredients:

- 75 g of butter

- 2 tsp vanilla sugar

- 100 ml of water

- 150 ml of milk

- 1 egg

- 180 g of flour

- 40 g of cocoa powder

- 2 tsp baking powder

- 225 g of sugar

Chocolate glaze:

- 200 g of dark chocolate

- 600 g of cream cheese

- 200 ml of cream

- 120 g powdered sugar

- chocolate for decoration

 

Making chocolate gateau - step by step:

1. Preheat the oven to 175 °C.

2. Melt the butter in a pan and let it cool.

3. Assemble your Ankarsrum stand mixer with the plastic bowl and the whisk.

4. Mix the butter, vanilla sugar, water, milk and eggs in the bowl.

5. Mix the dry ingredients together, then add to the batter and mix on low speed until smooth.

6. Line the cake tin with baking paper, then fill it with the mixture.

7. Bake the cake for 30-45 minutes in the lower part of the oven. Leave to cool, then cut into two parts.

8. Melt the dark chocolate over steam, then let it cool.

9. Replace the whisk head with the cream mixer and put the cream cheese and cream into the whisk bowl and mix.

10. Mix in the melted chocolate and powdered sugar, then mix on low speed to form a creamy glaze.

11. Spread the center and top of the cake with the chocolate cream. Decorate with chocolate, then leave to rest in the fridge.
