Delicious and unique grill recipes you have to try

Grilling is not only a popular summer evening activity, but it can also be a real culinary experience if you step away from the usual hamburger-sausage pairing. If you're looking for something special, you've come to the right place! We've collected some exciting grill recipes that can add a new dimension to your next grilling.

1. Grilled pineapple chicken with honey-chili glaze

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 fresh pineapple, cut into slices
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, pepper to taste

Making the food: Mix the honey, soy sauce, chili flakes and olive oil, then brush the chicken breasts with it. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes. Grill the chicken on medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side. Add the pineapple slices to the grill and caramelize them for a few minutes. Serve together and drizzle with a little extra sauce to make it even juicier.

2. Grilled mushroom caps stuffed with smoked cheese

Ingredients:

  • 8 large mushrooms
  • 150 g smoked cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • fresh parsley
  • olive oil
  • salt, pepper

Making the food: Carefully remove the stems from the mushrooms. Mix the grated smoked cheese with the chopped garlic and parsley. Stuff the mushroom caps with the mixture, drizzle with a little olive oil, then grill over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, until the cheese melts and the mushrooms are cooked through.

3. Grilled eggplant with Greek yogurt

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggplants
  • 150 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • fresh mint
  • salt, pepper
  • olive oil

Making the food: Slice the eggplants lengthwise into ½-inch slices, brush with olive oil, and season with salt. Grill them on both sides until they are nicely golden brown. Mix the yogurt with lemon juice, grated garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped mint. When serving, spoon the refreshing yogurt sauce over the baked eggplants.

4. Bourbon-caramel grilled pineapple

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 50 ml bourbon whiskey
  • 50g butter
  • vanilla ice cream for serving

Making the food: Cut the pineapple into rings, remove the core. In a small saucepan, make the caramel sauce: melt the butter, add the brown sugar, and when it starts to bubble, add the bourbon. Brush the pineapple slices with the caramel sauce and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side. Serve with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with the remaining sauce.

+1 Tip: Use incense wood chips!

If you want to add a really special flavor to your food, you might want to try different types of wood chips (like apple, cherry, or hickory). After a little pre-soaking, sprinkled directly on the coals, they add a heavenly, slightly smoky flavor to any grilled dish.
